Burlington
County
- Stretching from the Delaware River to
the Atlantic ocean, Burlington County offers an unsurpassed outdoor lifestyle
combined with the residential and commercial resources of a more heavily
developed area.
Scattered throughout the wooded county, quaint
"Main Street" towns date back to the 17th century, and boast
nationally-recognized of colonial architecture. In some communities, the
influence of the earlier styles is retained in today's construction; in others
contemporary designs harmonize with their predecessors as well as with the
environment. Roughly forty communities provide a wealth of medical, educational
and recreational resources including six hospitals, two major shopping malls,
three colleges and fourteen golf courses.
The Pine Barrens, the dominating geographical feature
in Burlington County, provides unlimited opportunities for recreation -
canoeing, hiking trails, birding, historic sites, and camping. A large portion
of this unique pine forest is federally protected, and serves as home to a
unique population of rare wildlife specimens. Other sections fall under the
jurisdiction of several state parks.
In fact, more than half the land in the county is
designated for agriculture or open space. Farming is the county's number one
industry, although a total of more than 5,200 businesses, ranging from film
production to textiles to boat building, and including two major military
installations, have laid down their roots here. It's
no wonder, Burlington County embodies an unbeatable combination of rural beauty
and suburban vitality.

Camden County
- Directly across the Delaware River from
Philadelphia, Camden County is the residence of choice for half a million
people, many of whom work in Camden or surrounding New Jersey counties. Still
others take advantage of the short commute to Philadelphia.
Long known as a producer of food products and other
consumer goods, Camden itself is also home to several electronics offices, and
the influx of new computer-related enterprises has erned the county a reputation
as the eastern Silicon Valley.
A variety of communities offer something for every
lifestyle and every pocketbook, from gracious older homes to spacious,
well-planed subdivisions to high-rise apartments and condominium townhouses.
There are numerous modern shopping facilities, including the well-known Cherry
Hill Mall. The county's commitment to open space for its residents is evident in
the more than 1,600 acres set aside for recreational use as county parks.
Philadelphia and its resources are only minutes away
via the Ben Franklin or Walt Whitman bridges or PATCO high speed line. The New
Jersey Turnpike, Route 295 and several other limited access highways link Camden
County with Wilmington, New York and the shore points. Four airports within an
hour's drive further help centralize this flourishing area.
